Welcome to Handmade in Netheredge. I’m Alison and I run creative workshops in Fused glass, PMC Silver Jewellery and guest workshops in Raku with Master potter Tez Roberts.
Currently, due to Covid I am no longer able to run workshops in the indoor studio, so I have relocated to the garden under cover of a massive gazebo, working on large tables which allows for safe distancing. During these difficult times, I can no longer offer full day workshops with a three course lunch, however, I am running half-day beginners workshops with homemade pavlova and bubbly.
Stay creative! It’s great for your wellbeing in these challenging times. Come along for a little creative escapism in a safe environment. You’ll find a warm welcome and a beautiful space to learn, relax and have fun.
Fabulous day. Uncovered talents I didn’t know where there! Thank you
The workshop was fab- Thank you so much! Even for people like me, who don’t consider themselves very creative, you bought out the hidden artist within! I had a really lovely day. Would definitely recommend your workshop to friends.
Great for novices- feel totally supported yet independent. Surprised that we could make so many things. The teaching was very helpful, clear and at a good pace. Superb value for money, the number of pieces made and variety of glass, Incredible. Lunch was top notch, lovely atmosphere.
As a total novice you taught me at the correct pace, giving me enough information for me to produce a piece of jewellery. I had a fabulous day, good laughs, good company and great food, all in a relaxing environment. Thank you.
The workshop surpassed expectations. Loved every minute of it. Alison was very knowledgeable and patient! She gave me loads of ideas and confidence. Hospitality and lunch were amazing, so was the music.
This was the most enjoyable day. Wonderful host and teacher. Patient, encouraging and confidence inspiring.
A brilliant day. The teaching was excellent and I very quickly felt confident enough to complete the tasks. I loved every minute of it. Great!
Lots of opportunity to make a wide variety of items, which was great. Was surprised we could do bigger items! Fast paced and focused on the most interesting aspects of glass work. Fantastic lunch, plenty of choice and special diets catered for.
